Facilities Coordinator
Administrative Officer R18

As a member of the Assets & Facilities Management Branch this position ensures facilities plans and projects comply with safety, security, accessibility and environmental standards, leads projects such as facility relocations, and renovations, and schedules work activities, tracks progress, inspects completed projects, identifies technical and funding issues or schedule delays.

The Facilities Management Unit governs the facilities of the ministry. This position is a steward for MCFD ensuring that facilities are suitable, sustainable, and safe & secure. Works as part of a project team to facilitate moves and tenant improvements, as well as manage day-to-day facility operational needs.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Post-Secondary Diploma related to facilities, or property management and 2 years of facilities or property management experience, or Secondary School Diploma and 5 years of facilities or property management experience.
  • Experience must consist of;
    • Contributing member of a facilities project team responsible for a key project component.
    • Responsibility for move management and asset control.
  • Preference may be given to those with supervisory experience of project teams.
  • Preference may be given to those with asset inventory and expenditure management experience
  • Preference may be given to those with demonstrated experience applying security, safety, or accessibility standards.
