Under the direction of the Program Coordinator, Education and Learning, this role develops and facilitates information and records management learning courses and resources across government and the Broader Public sector at all levels of government (front line to Deputy Minister). The learning objectives align with the Information Management Act, as well as legislations, policies, and/or standards involving Information management practices and requirements. Additionally, this position supports Government’s renewed determination to manage information as a strategic asset. The role plans, designs, creates, administers and delivers a variety of learning programs and learning activities to meet user needs and government learning requirements, in order to enable individuals to meet their obligations under legislation and policy, and while the challenges of digital information management within the public service are addressed. To be successful, the learning specialist must be comfortable within the changing landscape of recorded information, use of social media, and have the ability to understand client business needs in order to bridge the worlds of information technology and program information management.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Diploma in Education, Adult Education, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be considered.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience or education (or a combination of both) in eLearning technologies and/or multimedia.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience or education (or a combination of both) in graphic design.
- Experience in planning, developing and delivering learning and professional development programs.
- Experience leading, facilitating or being a contributive member of project teams and in working with multiple stakeholders to deliver a product, program, or service.
Lifting of up to 25lbs will be required.
