The Coordinator, Training and Recruitment is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing recruitment solutions to meet identified needs of the Branch. The position is also responsible for promoting recruitment activity for Branch positions including developing promotional material and planning and managing advertising campaigns for targeted positions. The Coordinator establishes and manages a databank of applicants, including pre-assessed applicants. The position is also responsible for managing the Deputy Sheriff Recruitment Bonus Incentive program. The Coordinator is responsible for identifying industry practices in recruitment and recommending recruiting options to branch executives. The position provides information to people enquiring about BC Sheriff Services positions and the recruitment process and acts as a contact for potential candidates.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Adult Education, Communications, or related field (Criminology, Sociology, Public Administration) and at least one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in planning, developing and implementing training and professional development initiatives.
- Experience in leading and facilitating project teams and in working with multiple stakeholders to deliver a product, program, or service.
Preference may be given to applicants with:
- Practical experience with Sheriff training and training practices.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Adult Education, Communications, or related field (Criminology, Sociology, Public Administration) and two or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
