Inspection Coordinator
Administrative Officer 14

This position may be based out of one of the following locations based on operational requirements and availability: Cranbrook, Nanaimo, Nelson, Penticton, Prince George, Smithers, Surrey and Williams Lake. Other locations may be considered based on operational availability.

The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy, Compliance team is looking for an energetic candidate for this position. This position reports directly to the Section Head of the Compliance Planned team.  This team is tasked with the responsibility of conducting a high volume of inspections related to the discharge of waste to the environment. This position will provide co-ordination, planning, project management and assistance in the delivery of inspections to maximize efficiency for officers throughout the Province. This position includes designation as an Officer under the Environmental Management Act and will also be responsible for verifying compliance through compliance inspections.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Post-secondary Diploma in Administration, Compliance and Enforcement or other related field, or Grade 12 diploma with 2 years recent, relevant administrative experience.
  • Experience handling multiple priorities concurrently.
  • Preference may be given to candidates with experience in the Natural Resources Sector.
  • Preference may be given to candidates with experience using database management systems.
