Reporting to the Director of Budget Coordination, Reporting and Accountability, the Budget Manager, Compensation, is responsible for operation of the Health Sector Compensation Information System (HSCIS) Oracle database, and related ad-hoc special projects within the Ministry.

The position is responsible to ensure accurate and timely information in the database and to manage the HSCIS support service. The Budget Manager, Compensation will co-chair the compensation working group, working with budgetary, human resources, and payroll management staff from all Health Authorities, on issues related to the planning, budgeting, reporting and allocation of compensation costs.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Completion of university degree in Economics, Commerce, or related discipline of professional, or an accounting designation (CPA); or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience using Microsoft Access, Word and Excel. Preference may be given to applicants with some experience with HSCIS, Microsoft Access and Business intelligence tools.
  • Experience in budget development and financial analysis.
  • Experience in providing effective client service.
  • Experience with supervising and directing staff. Preference may be given to applicants with 2 years’ or more experience.
