The Director is responsible for public engagement on, and dissemination of, British Columbia’s core labour market information products and services as well as creating innovative new labour market products and apps along with associated marketing. The Director leads the coordination, development and maintenance of accessible, high quality labour market and immigration information products for government, employers, and the public through the www.WorkBC.ca and www.WelcomeBC.ca websites and through direct engagements such as Find Your Fit.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Graduate university degree in public administration, business administration, commerce, social sciences or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience managing multiple complex projects.
  • Experience leading creative and innovative products from conception to dissemination.
  • Experience in management including supervision of professional staff.
  • Experience leading and resolving complex staff, program, and contract issues.

Preference may be given to applicants who have one or more of the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in marketing.
  • Demonstrated experience in communications.
  • A minimum of 3 years related labour market information experience.
  • Public sector experience developing LMI products.
