The Tribunal Transformation Initiative (TTI) is part of a larger initiative to reform the administrative justice sector in BC in order to decrease costs, reduce delays and improve access and accountability.  Of the 28 Tribunals in the Province, 19 are now administratively accountable to the Attorney General representing $24 million in annual budget; these include the Labour Relations Board, BC Human Rights Tribunal, BC Utilities Commission, Civil Resolution Tribunal, and the Mental Health Review Board.

As a superb communicator, skilled change agent and a proven leader in project management, you will make a significant contribution toward guiding and supporting a new vision for the delivery of tribunal services, to achieve a cohesive, user-focused tribunal sector.

Functioning in a close collaborate approach, the TTI team is engaged in building credibility, eliminating silos and promoting the benefits of the initiative.  Reporting to the Executive Director, you will be accountable for building strong, collaborative working relationships with senior tribunal staff to identify opportunities to enhance service delivery through streamlining business processes.  Your role will include overseeing Order in Council appointments and contributing to planning and managing the integration of technology platforms and applications.  The Director is the key contact between Tribunal management and the government’s central agencies including TBS, CABRO, Cabinet Operations, PSEC and others.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Law or a related area plus three (3) years related experience; or Diploma in a related area plus five (5) years related experience. An equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training may be considered.
  • Proven change management experience.
  • Experience leading major projects of large scale and complexity that have multiple project delivery components including experience leading multiple continuous process improvement and process re-design projects.
  • Experience managing relationships with senior level stakeholders, leading consultation sessions, working with multiple agencies, and representing the ministry on cross-ministry teams.
