The Community Corrections and Corporate Programs Division of the Corrections Branch is responsible for the delivery of programs and services to adult offenders or alleged offenders awaiting trial or sentencing, who are serving community based sentences of the court. The intent of these programs and services is to enhance public safety by assessing and managing the risk of the offenders and providing intervention to change behaviour. The Community Corrections Division works closely with the court system and the Adult Custody Division of the Corrections Branch, and responds to court and custody requests for pres-sentence and other reports. Community Corrections Offices are the primary location for client supervision and liaison with community and justice partners as well as the general public.
As Administrative Assistant, you are flexible and multi-faceted, providing a full range of administrative support services for Williams Lake Community Corrections staff. Applying your comprehensive knowledge of ministry and government administrative services and programs, you effectively assess operational needs to meet changing requirements. A skilled communicator, you excel at superior customer service, efficiently answering inquiries and directing calls to the appropriate recipients. You will be expected to operate independently and professionally in a confidential manner, managing the flow of information and prioritizing issues, assignments and projects to ensure the Williams Lake Community Corrections Staff are well informed.

Job Requirements: In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
Secondary school graduation
A combination of 1 year of related experience, education and/or training (eg. Clerical, secretarial, receptionist, or administrative support).
