Under the direct supervision of the Office Manager, Administrative Assistant provides confidential office support services, frontline reception services, data entry for electronic systems, and maintains files and records, and provides financial support services.
The Community Corrections and Corporate Programs Division of the Corrections Branch is responsible for the delivery of programs and services to adult offenders or alleged offenders awaiting trial or sentencing, who are serving community based sentences of the court. The intent of these programs and services is to enhance public safety by assessing and managing the risk of the offenders and providing intervention to change behavior. The Community Corrections Division works closely with the court system and the Adult Custody Division of the Corrections Branch, and responds to court and custody requests for press-sentence and other reports. Community Corrections Offices are the primary location for client supervision and liaison with community and justice partners as well as the general public.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED)
-preference may be given to applicants with higher education and/or training in a related field (eg. Clerical, secretarial, receptionist, or administrative support).
- Preference may be given to applicants with six (6) or more months of work experience in an administrative assistant role.
- Preference may be given to applicants with experience with vulnerable peoples (eg. substance abuse and/or mental health issues).
