The Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) is one of the largest distributors and retailers of beverage alcohol in Canada, generating a net income of approximately $1.08 billion on annual sales of approximately $3.3 billion in fiscal 2016/17. LDB has a workforce of approximately 4,000 full and part-time employees, operates 197 retail stores across the province, oversees the operations of approximately 220 Rural Agency Stores and has the role of wholesaler to approximately 700 private liquor retail outlets and 10,000 licensed establishments.
The LDB is a unique government entity that operates with similar independence to a Crown Corporation under the direction of a General Manager and CEO.
In February 2018, the LDB was assigned to distribute, wholesale and sell non-medicinal cannabis inclusive of a government owned online channel with a mandate to support government’s key priorities of protecting children and youth, ensuring health and safety standards, and keeping the criminal element out of the supply chain.
Supervises the day‑to‑day administrative functions performed by the Distribution Inventory Control staff. This includes product receipt review and its documentation prioritization and storage, inventory adjustments, inventory management, retail and ecommerce sales order process, adjustments and processing; resolves departmental operational problems in a timely manner, liaising with key employees in critical areas within the Branch to effect solutions.

Minimum of two years recent supervisory experience leading a team, conducting audits, empty bin reports, root cause analysis and reconciliation.
Warehouse environment requires appropriate footwear and high visibility vest
Non-air conditioned warehouse. Noisy conditions with conveyors, material handling equipment running and packing area equipment operating. Steel-toed boots are required.
2 shifts expanding into 3 shifts. Could rotate shifts throughout the year.
High level knowledge of an enterprise Inventory and Order Management system preferably, Oracle (EBS)
High level knowledge of a Warehouse Management System (WMS), preferably Radio Beacon, Tec Sys or other similar WMS.
Skills and Abilities:
Proven ability in organizing and executing a scheduled cycle count for all SKUs in a building multiple times a year.
Ability in gathering mass amount of data and consolidating it into one document, showing trends and discrepancies for management to review.
Proven ability demonstrating good judgement and organizational skills and possess effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with different levels of staff and management, and external parties.
Proven ability to deliver training and direction to staff
