Supporting the Ministries of Children and Family Development (MCFD) and Social Development and Poverty Reduction (SDPR), the Information Services Division (ISD) maintains and supports over 100 MCFD and SDPR business applications and services, including the Integrated Case Management System (ICM). The ICM application is shared by both MCFD and SDPR and is a large complex application with multiple boundary systems and integrations.
The Test and Quality Assurance Team Lead manages a team that provides testing and quality assurance services for all ISD supported business applications and services for both project based and scheduled maintenance work.
This role provides senior level software expertise that encompasses the full testing lifecycle including but not limited to: development of test plans and scripts for custom and COTS software; executing manual and automated regression/UAT/volume/performance testing; identification of defects; ensuring the quality of contracted deliverables; identification of defects; ensuring the quality of contracted deliverables; working with contractors on problem resolution; guiding clients through the formal User Acceptance Testing cycle; and, providing assistance with region and security management. This position is also responsible for researching, locating, and evaluating new testing software technologies.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
Education and Experience:
- Degree in Computer Science or related field and 1 year related* experience; OR
- Diploma in Computer Science or related field and 3 years related* experience; OR
- Certificate in Computer Science or related field and 4 years related* experience; OR
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent and 8 years related* experience
Related experience may include:
- Experience providing test management and quality assurance services in a large, complex, multi-stakeholder, enterprise IT environment maintaining mission critical systems.
- Experience providing business analysis for key front-line systems with complex interactive business processes and multi-ministry impacts.
- Experience supervising teams.
Preference may be given to those with:
- Experience in the supervision of testing staff.
- Experience with automated and regression testing best practices.
