Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional non-partisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice, administrative support and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous employer, separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.

The Capital Planning and Development branch is seeking an experienced, professional and organized individual for the regular full-time position of Project Coordinator.

Reporting to the Manager, Capital Planning and Development, the Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating a variety projects, with construction being the most dominate. Projects range from small to large and are primarily focused on the long-term asset maintenance, rehabilitation, upgrades, heritage restoration, construction, environmental remediation, renovation and redevelopment of the BC Legislative Precinct. The Project Coordinator is expected to complete assigned projects on time and within budget using a combination of in-house and external consultants or contractors as resources. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the oversight and effective management of assigned projects from initiation through to successful completion and will serve as the project lead and first point of contact for consultants, contractors and vendors.

Applicants must have a technical diploma in a related field plus a minimum of three years of experience in one or all of the following: project coordination; project administration; construction; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
