Position Summary
If you are Physiotherapist (PT) looking to support acute based care in Williams Lake and/or 100 Mile House and looking to help out our community in this challenging time, we are looking to hire new Casual employees at Cariboo Memorial Hospital and 100 Mile House Hospital.

PT’s will be involved in working with ventilated patients as well as non-vented trying to support patients’ breathing so that they don’t need to be vented. PT’s will be supporting nurses in positioning and moving patients as well as doing secretion clearance therapies when indicated. It will very much be a team approach role where any additional help from physio to support nursing would be critical once the acuity becomes significant. A background working with respiratory patients and or in ICU is helpful, but not essential as a large part of the work envisaged will be moving and positioning patients, using positioning to try to ease the work of breathing, and hopefully providing some team leadership around how to do the turns and repositions. Casual employment could mean zero to up to 37.5 hours per week.

Physiotherapists already registered in the province will be given first consideration to the position.

At Interior Health, Every Person Matters.
