RoadSafetyBC delivers legislation, regulation, policy and initiatives to advance its mission to improve road safety outcomes in BC.  This involves collaborating closely with road safety partners such as ICBC, BC Association of Chiefs of Police, BCAA, The Canadian Council of Motor Transport Administrators, Doctors of BC, police and many others.

As a Senior Policy Analyst, you will coordinate and lead the research, analysis, development and implementation of strategic policies and legislation for RoadSafetyBC.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

• Degree in public administration, business administration, law, economics, social sciences or equivalent.

  • Relevant Diploma plus 4 years related experience in developing policy and legislation/regulation changes, OR;
  • Relevant Certificate plus 6 years of related experience in developing policy and legislation/regulation changes, OR;
  • An equivalent combination of related experience, education and training may be considered,

• Minimum 2 years’ experience researching policy issues and conducting policy analysis including writing policy and developing legislation/regulation changes.
• Experience in planning and coordinating complex projects.

Preference may be given to candidates with:
• Policy experience in a public sector organization.
• Experience developing of legislation or regulations.
• Experience conducting policy development and research related to the Motor Vehicle Act.
