Project Manager
Scientific Technical Officer 24R – Resource

This position can be performed from any of the following communities: Fort St. John, Dawson Creek or Fort Nelson. Preferred location is Fort St. John.

This position manages the development and evaluation of major projects.  Projects are taken from original concept through to final completion. This position’s primary focus is managing multiple major projects that are of local interest, have a range of stakeholders, and typically are short in duration (e.g., 12 months or less).

Fort St. John (Peace Natural Resource District)

Surrounded by the Peace River Valley, Fort St. John has all the big city amenities that you need in a small friendly town. Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Degree in a related discipline (e.g. business administration, public administration, science in resource management) OR University Degree in another discipline with training in resource management or a related discipline; OR Diploma or Certification in resource management or a related discipline; OR an equivalent combination of science in resource management related education and training.
  • Advanced experience in project management.
  • Experience managing multiple projects or leading a component (e.g., sub-project) of a major project.
  • Experience managing relationships with senior level stakeholders and leading consultation sessions.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
