As the Scaling Officer, you will be responsible to develop, administer and supervise the Interior District Scaling Program according to the Forest Act, Forest and Range Practices Act, Regulations, Scaling Manual, Waste Manual and provincial policy and guidelines.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Valid BC Interior Scaler licence with required endorsements.
- Minimum of 3 years of related Interior scaling operational experience.
Preference may be given to applicants with:
- Experience in Waste and Residue, and the Provincial Waste Program.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
- Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions, in remote areas, and withstand the rigours of fieldwork.
- Ability to operate a variety of equipment (e.g. quads snow machines, 4X4 vehicles).
- Successful completion of security screening requirements of the BC Public Service, which includes a criminal records check, and/or enhanced security screening checks as required by the ministry.
