B.C. government introduces LNG regulatory oversight website – Journal Of Commerce

VICTORIA, B.C. – The government of British Columbia has introduced to provide information about its regulatory role related to the LNG Canada project in Kitimat, B.C.

Information about partnerships with Indigenous Nations, compliance updates, permitting, and details about the initial environmental assessment process as related to the LNG project and the connecting Coastal Gaslink pipeline are all on the site.

Government documents including those from the British Columbia Environmental Assessment Office and the BC Oil and Gas Commission can be searched and downloaded and there is a “frequently asked questions” section to provide answers about the provincial government’s authority and regulations. Updates to the site including supplementary to improve user experience and access to information will occur frequently as new data is available, a government release stated.
