BCAFN Statement Regarding Grand Chief Edward John Arrest

(Lheidli T’enneh Territory, Prince George, BC – November 15, 2019) – The BC Assembly of First Nations (BCAFN) is aware that Grand Chief Ed John has been arrested related to sexual offenses to have occurred in 1974. The accusation is a grave matter that must be taken very seriously, and which is now in the justice system.

BCAFN will not make further comments until this case has been concluded.

The British Columbia Assembly of First Nations (BCAFN) is a Provincial Territorial Organization (PTO) representing the 203 First Nations in British Columbia.
