Concerned capital region residents to “welcome” National Energy Board chair tomorrow
Apr 27, 2015
VICTORIA – Residents of the capital region with grave concerns about pipeline and tanker safety, especially in light of the recent botched spill response in English Bay, will turn out to “welcome” National Energy Board chair Peter Watson as he meets with Capital Regional District mayors tomorrow morning.
The NEB review of the proposed Kinder Morgan pipeline and tankers project has limited public participation, disrespected First Nations, and disallowed any participation on the basis of the project’s climate impacts. A legitimate process would have done none of these things.
