MR MIKES SteakhouseCasual and Street Angel Hoping to Create Some Holiday Cheer

Cranbrook/ʔa·kiskaqǂiʔit – The Ktunaxa Nation and MR MIKES SteakhouseCasual are teaming up to raise money over this holiday season for Operation Street Angel.

Starting today until December 24 at MR MIKES SteakhouseCasual in Cranbrook, non-perishable food items and monetary donations for Street Angel will be accepted. MR MIKES will also match monetary donations up to a total of $1000.

“With the holidays approaching and the cold weather setting in, the number of people across all demographics utilizing Street Angels is increasing dramatically,” said Racheal Nicholas, Ktunaxa Nation Council Urban Services Manager. “The holidays can be a difficult emotional and financial time for some people, so it is vital that Street Angel partners with great businesses like MR MIKES to ensure our organization can continue to provide services such as hot meals and counselling to those who require them in the Cranbrook area.”

MR MIKES SteakhouseCasual is located at 1028 Cranbrook Street north in Cranbrook.

Since 2010, The Ktunaxa Nation’s Operation Street Angel has provided services to homeless and vulnerable populations in the Cranbrook area including hot nutritious meals, nurse practitioner and mental health services, advocacy, employment and justice services. Street Angel is located at #46 17th avenue south in Cranbrook.
