Working under the Head of FCC Canada, the Senior FCC Business Manager supports the Regional FCC governance oversight, coordinates the dispensation and variance logs, tracks and monitors that action plans for dispensations are adhered to by Regional and/or Countries/LOBs, in accordance with the terms of the approval. This role will also have functional responsibility to the COO FCC, focusing on FCC budget, and operational matters. The role performs ongoing analysis of the Regional AML MI to provide a strategic appraisal of emerging trends and issues, works with Regional MI & DG to provide FCC risk data input to recurrent and ad-hoc communications, reports and frameworks for the FCC function and other interested parties. The Senior FCC Business Manager assists in the preparation of the Regional FCC ExCo pack, submissions for the Regional FCC ExCo and Regional RMM/RMCs plus to the Global FCC ExCo; coordinates the completion of country MLRO Reports, assists and supports drafting of the Regional MLRO report; prepares analysis in setting the Regional FCC Plan; monitors execution of the Regional Plan and support the CAMLO in the coordination of regional and /or country projects, stakeholder involvement and attendance of related steering committees, ensuring alignment of FCC initiatives with other functions within FCC/RC; working closely with the COO to ensure consistency; assists the CAMLO to monitor the FCC Budget and Blueprint.

  • Support the FCC COO in areas of operations, MI, reporting, budgets, blueprint and staff initiatives
  • Coordinate the dispensation and variance logs submitted by countries within the Region

  • Perform ongoing analysis of the Regional FCC MI to provide a strategic appraisal of emerging trends and issues. Assist and support analysis and research work (where required) on emerging risk trends.
  • Work with Regional MI & DG to provide FCC risk data input to recurrent and ad-hoc communications, reports and frameworks for the FCC function and other interested parties
  • Assist in the preparation of the Regional FCC ExCo pack, and submissions for the Regional FCC ExCo and Regional RMM/RMCs plus to the Global FCC ExCo

  • Ensure that all staff and activities comply with existing regulations and auditory requirements.

  • Ensure that all employees are aware of and effectively identify and manage applicable money laundering (ML), terrorist financing (TF), sanctions and reputational risks.

  • Ensure compliance of both general and anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing (AML/ATF) compliance controls as well as operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues.

Qualifications / Experience

  • University graduate preferably with a degree in Accounting, Management or Finance.
  • Experience of working in large service company model and global banks, ideally in a Compliance role

  • Evidence of delivery in a similar role within a global organization
