Baker
JOB DESCRIPTION :
The person engaged in the position of baker in the Cafe shall have the following tasks and duties to be performed with attention to details:
1.Preparation of all the basic raw material like dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods.
2.Batter and icing preparation for muffins, cookies and cakes along with other similar recipes.
3.Working with yeast dough, sand dough, scones, cinnamon buns, pastry creams, curds and fruit fillings.
4.Maintaining a clean and organized work arrangement in the kitchen and Cafe.
5.Communicating and arranging pre-orders and production in accordance with front of the house staff orders.
6.Proper mechanism to sanitize the food preparation areas as determined by HACCP and company policy.
7.Adequate knowledge about kitchen safety procedure, location of HACCP record forms and other safety measures.
8.Active participation in promotion and celebration of the organizational culture.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The required skill set for the position of the baker in the company must comprise but is not limited to:
- Experience is an asset.
- Culinary or Pastry diploma (an asset)
- Food Safety Certification
- Effective team player who adds value to the team
- Organized and time oriented
- Readily available to lay hands on work under time pressure
- Precautious regarding health, safety and hygiene in the workplace
