Job Duties

• Plan menus and ensure the quality of food
• Estimate the required amount and costs for food items and supplies
• Oversee and document food costs, usage, sales, and inventory management
• Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and other food preparation staff
• Guide cooks in the preparation, cooking techniques, plating, and food presentation
• Train staff to prepare and cook all the menu items
• Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions
