Position: Specialty foods chef (Japanese foods)

Wage: CAD$35.00/hour

Types: Full-time, Permanent

Working hours: 30-40 hours/week

Benefits:  4% of vacation pay

Job Duties:

• Create new recipes and plan menus
• Plan and instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of foods
• Prepare and cook Japanese foods (authentic Japanese Katsus, Udon and other items), chef’s special, and other specialty foods
• Supervise activities of cooks and staff
• Monitor and requisition kitchen supplies/equipment

Job Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school;
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in commercial food preparation required.
• Cook’s trade certification an asset
