Title of position: 1 Concrete Finisher

Terms of employment: Full-time year-round work

Duties:

• Check forms, place granular material and rebar, and pour concrete to grade.
• Ensure even concrete surfaces by filling in hollows and smoothing high spots.
• Operate power vibrator to compact concrete
• Manage power tools and concrete-related equipment such as a straightedge and float in order to ensure level concrete application
• Be able to mix concrete on site and in small batches
• Apply concrete-related compounds such as hardeners and sealers to cure concrete
• Create the final finish according to the client’s request. It can include concrete driveways, patios, driveway curbs, pool decks, garage floors, concrete floors, walkways, resurfacing, demolition & excavation, porch & stair work
• Perform other related duties as required.

Wages: $34.00/hr based on 40 hrs a week

Location of work: Various locations in Lower Mainland

Skills Requirement:

• Completion of Secondary School is required.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience as a concrete finisher is required.
• Ability to work long hours and weekends as required.
