Job Description:

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods in accordance with standards and in a timely manner
• Prepare and cook special meals for clients as instructed by chef
• Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
• Clean kitchen and work areas at the end of shift
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas
• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
• Order supplies and equipment
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
• Prepare varied dishes from scratch with fresh products

Requirements:

– Education: Completion of high school is required.

– Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience as a cook is required. In the event that the candidate does not have 3 years of experience then a post-secondary certificate is required.

-Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods, Attention to detail, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity.

-Personal suitability: Organized, Team player, Effective interpersonal skills, Judgement, Excellent oral communication, Initiative, Reliability, Accurate.

-Language: English is required

Salary: $18.00 – $20.00 hourly, 40 Hours per week.

Important Information: We are open 7 days a week. Regular schedule includes working 5 days per week. The work day begins at 7 am and ends at 3 pm. Position requires flexibility in scheduling, including evening or weekend hours based on business needs.
