Employment Requirement: Crane Operator Certification, Air Brake Endorsement (Z)

Duties:

• Operate cranes to lift, move, position scraped or recyclable material and other heavy objects.
• Operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, position, move or place equipment and materials.
• Perform pre-operational inspection, calculate crane capacities to prepare for rigging and hoisting.
• Operate overhead crane to lift, move and place materials.
• Place blocks and outriggers to prevent capsizing when lifting heavy loads.
• Maintain visual and radio contact with ground operators.
• Using lever and pedal controls efficiently.
• Inspect crane for safety issues on a daily basis.
• Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning and lubricating cranes.
