NEW SKBC8387 FOOD LTD., dba Nikko Sushi located in Langley, BC is looking for a permanent and full time Japanese Food Cook.

Duties/Responsibilities:
– Prepare various types of Japanese foods including tempura, soup, grills and other Japanese dishes
– Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
– Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, grills, and roasters
– Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.
– Oversee kitchen operations
– Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
– Train and supervise kitchen helpers and less experienced cooks

Requirements:
– Completion of secondary school is required.
– 2 or more years of commercial cooking experience is required.
– Sushi Preparation Skill is required

Term of employment: Full-time (40 hours per week), Permanent
Wage: $17.00 – 19.00 per hour
Vacation: 4% of salary as vacation pay
