Position Summary
Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake is seeking a permanent full time Manager, Clinical Operations in Emergency and Ambulatory Care.

The Manager is responsible for the provision of excellence in the delivery of Emergency and Ambulatory Care nursing services at Cariboo Memorial Hospital. The Manager plans, reviews, assesses, manages, and directs the delivery of patient care services for the Emergency and Ambulatory Care Services.

The Manager works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to achieve a seamless continuum of health services. Cariboo Memorial Hospital is set to undergo a redevelopment from its current 28 acute care bed facility to a new three-storey addition with increase to 53 acute care beds. Features include a larger Emergency Department and more room for Ambulatory Care. Construction will be completed in two phases. Phase one will begin in 2021 with work on the new addition and is expected to finish in 2023. Phase two will begin on renovations to the current hospital, scheduled for completion in 2025. The Manager, Emergency and Ambulatory Care will have opportunity to participate in developing a new Emergency Department and Ambulatory Care unit as part of the project.

Education, Training, and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of seven years of recent, related acute care experience with three years in a supervisory/administrative position; an equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
• Current practicing membership with the relevant professional association.
