Position Summary
Are you an agile leader with excellent communication skills and experience in project management? We are seeking a Manager, Staffing Services Transformation to join our Staffing Services team.

The Manager, Staffing Services Transformation is responsible and accountable for the leadership, planning, implementation, and evaluation of strategic initiatives that support the development and sustainability of a provincial workforce management system. The Manager, Staffing Services Transformation provides leadership to provincial project teams and ensures the involvement and participation of key internal and external stakeholders through all the project stages so that project deliverables are met within scope, cost, time and quality.

The successful applicant will coordinate work across inter-Health Authority project teams to deliver an innovative, efficient and sustainable workforce management system. Travel will be required throughout the Interior Health region and province to collaborate with key stakeholders and ensure successful implementation of project deliverables. The Manager, Staffing Service Transformation ensures timely and effective implementation of decisions and communication between various working groups, teams, key stakeholders, leadership and provincial executive.

This is a temporary position until July 1, 2021.


• Leads priority projects within Interior Health Staffing Services, including planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of a provincial workforce management system.
• Provides leadership to project teams, including the direct management of people and resources, using effective management and communication techniques: coaches and mentors staff to foster a healthy and respectful work environment, enables developmental opportunities, investigates issues, and facilitates problem resolution.
• Applies knowledge and experience in project management, process review, and analysis to ensure initiatives are completed in a timely manner and result in quantifiable improvements.
• Identifies and promotes the expedited resolution to problems or barriers to enable successful project implementation.
• Analyzes opportunities for innovation and efficiency and provides feedback to the Corporate Director, Staffing Services on the feasibility and requirements for the achievement of objectives. Maps out alignment with future direction and ensures initiatives are aligned with organizational and provincial strategies.
• Conducts reviews and gathers information related to relevant standards, trends, initiatives, best practices and policies to ensure the information is available to project participants. Promotes consistent processes and continuous improvement throughout the project.
• Provides updates to leadership on the implementation and issues of key initiatives. Prepares reports, briefings, and presentations as required.
• Coordinates and oversees work between Interior Health and provincial project teams. Establishes and fosters collaborative relationships with project members and key stakeholders across Interior Health and provincial Health Authorities
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Training, and Experience
• Post-secondary business degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Seven years of recent, related experience at a senior level working within a complex public or private sector environment. Recent experience with system change initiatives in health care is a significant asset.
• Formal education and/or experience in project management are required

• Superior writing skills and a proven record of delivering useful reporting and presentations to stakeholders.
• Ability to organize, coordinate, and prioritize own work.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with computer technology and necessary software at an advanced level.
• A valid BC Driver’s license as travel is a requirement of the position.
• Advanced project management skills
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
