Job Description:

• Advise customers on indications, contraindications, adverse effects, drug interactions and dosage
• Advise customers on selection and use of non-prescription medication
• Manage the storage, packaging and distribution of medicinal products
• Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or to other health care professionals
• Order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies
• Check prescriptions for proper dosage
• Compound prescribed pharmaceutical products by calculating, measuring and mixing the right quantities of drugs and other ingredients
• Maintain medication profiles of customers including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs
• Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians and other staff

Requirements:

Education: A university degree in pharmacy and a period of supervised practical training are required

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in the field is required.

Licensure is required.

Salary: $60.00 hourly, 40 Hours per week.

Important Information: The working hours will be 6-12 hours per day set anywhere between 8 AM and 8 PM. Flexibility on schedule is required as some days will start earlier and others finish later depending on the business needs. Weekend work may be required. Overtime is required.
