Position SummaryWe are seeking a reliable and motivated Rehabilitation Assistant to join our cohesive team within the friendly Community of Kimberley, BC. This is a relief, part time opening until February 2023, or return of incumbent.

The Rehabilitation Assistant is a member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team in meeting the needs of residents. The Rehabilitation Assistant carries out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs and assists therapists in monitoring and evaluating residents’ progression. Kimberley Special Care Home consists of 53 residential beds. 2 flexible short stay beds, and 24 hour nursing service is provided with Physiotherapy and Rehab assistant services.

Shifts are Mondays to Thursdays 08:00 to 14:00 hours. This is a temporary position to provide relief until February 2023 or return of incumbent. Casual employees receive 12.6% of their straight time pay, exclusive of all premiums, in lieu of scheduled vacations and statutory holidays. Upon completion of 180 hours, there is option of purchasing medical, dental and extended health benefit plans. When the employee occupies the position for 6 months or longer, entitlement to the reimbursement for benefits and enrollment in the benefit plan will be at the expense of the employer.

• Completion of a recognized, two-year Rehabilitation Assistant Diploma Program.
• Valid Driver’s License as required.
