National Air Technologies located at 9465 189 St, Surrey, BC V4N 5L8 is recruiting four (4) Rope Access Technicians to perform commercial and Strata air ventilation and dryer vent cleaning and maintenance work. The salary is $36.00 per hour depending on experience and working an average of 40 hours per week. These are full-time, year-round positions. Costs-shared benefits including extended health and dental benefits are available after three (3) months of employment. Our ideal candidates must a minimum of Level 1RAT certification from SPRAT or IRATA. Those with Level 2 RAT are preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Rope access to hard-to-reach areas without scaffolding or a work platform
    Descend, ascend and transverse ropes for access and work while suspended by harness
  • Perform and execute comprehensive cleaning of air duct, air ventilation, furnace, dryer vents and A/C coil in residential andcommercial properties
  • Inspect ductwork and vents for any signs of damage or malfunction, and report findings to the supervisor.
  • Cleaning exterior dryer exhaust, vent hoods, screens and dampers
  • Document work with written reports and photographs
  • Maintain tools and equipment
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors and customers
  • Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum 1-year experience in air duct and dryer vent cleaning
    Minimum Level 1 RAT certification from IRATA or SPRAT. Level 2 RAT certification is preferred.
  • Additional work at heights certifications an asset (fall protection, aerial lift, suspended stages training, etc.)
  • Must have strong communications skills, a positive attitude and a customer-oriented approach.
  • Physical ability to lift and move equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Preferred BC drivers’ licence
