About this Opportunity

The Westbank First Nation summer programs provide recreational and learning activities for children and youth ages 5 -11 throughout the summer months.  The Summer Camp Leader will be responsible for introducing a variety of games, sports, cultural, and educational activities to the program participants ensuring the main objectives of the program are to be innovative, exciting, professional, safe, fun, and positive.

• Assists in the organization and implementation of fun, interesting, and safe recreational and educational activities for program participants
• Assists in the supervision of the various summer programs as directed
• Assists in the coordination of attendance, safety, and supervision of all participants as directed
• Contributes to ensuring all of the summer programs are innovative, positive, and fun
• Assists with the set-up and take down of equipment for the various programs
• Complete opening and closing duties of the facilities

Must Haves:

• Previous experience working with children preferred
• Ability to relate to children aged 5 – 12
• Must be a student returning to high school or a post-secondary institution in Fall 2023
• Must be age 19 or older
• Responsible adult certificate or willingness to obtain required
• Valid First Aid with Child CPR required
• An acceptable Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search required
• Immunization record required
• Character references to state suitability to work with children
