Duties: repairers

• Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment.
• Repair or replace defective telephone equipment.
• Splice, join and connect wires.
• Inspect, monitor, test and adjust telecommunication transmission lines and cables and distribution systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Analyze and record test results.
• Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures.
• Complete and maintain test and service reports.
• Assist in the erection and removal of telecommunication poles, towers, and associated support structures.
