Virogin Biotech is a clinical stage biotech company developing next-generation immuno-oncolytic therapeutics to enhance the systemic antitumor immunity. We are located at 150 – 13511 Commerce Parkway, Richmond BC. We are recruiting a Vice President of Global Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls (NOC 00015) to join our team. This is for a full-time, permanent position to start as soon as possible. The position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week. The offered salary ranges between $130 – $150K per annum. Extended health, medical and dental benefits are available after completing 3 months.

Position Description:

Reporting to the CEO and working at the Richmond BC office, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead the Global Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls department.

The successful candidate will be able to perform the following duties detailed below:

• Establish corporate Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls development strategies for pipeline products and organize their implementation.
• Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls study (process and analytical methods development) on Oncolyctic Viruses and messenger RNA tumor vaccines. Organize resources to solve technical issues and ensure product development progress.
• Manufacturing, quality control and release of pre-clinical samples and Investigational Medicinal Products, to ensure the supply of samples and Investigational Medicinal Products.
• Organize the team to prepare all Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls related pre-Investigational New Drug and Investigational New Drug dossier package/ communication meeting.
• Organization, facilitating and executing the construction of Virogin Global Research & Development center.
• Recruit proper talents, set up Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls, Quality Control, engineering and purchasing teams, to ensure the smooth promotion and effective implementation of related business of Virogin.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

10 years of progressive bio-pharmaceutical industry experience in Good Manufacturing Processes production of virus-related products

• Master’s degree in biology and/or related majors
• experience in first-line process development and/or manufacturing.
• Experience and ability to manage a team.
• Strategic thinking, good leadership, and management talent.
• Serious and rigorous work, strong sense of delivery, good teamwork, pressure tolerance, communication and understanding skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
