Blueberry River First Nations announces new Blueberry River Resources CEO

BUICK, B.C – Chief Desjarlais and Blueberry River First Nations (Blueberry) are pleased to introduce Glen Pratt as the new CEO of Blueberry River Resources Ltd., created as an independent entity to advance the economic and sustainability priorities of the Nation.

Glen Pratt joins Blueberry River Resources with significant experience in economic development, governance, and leadership. Most recently, Glen served for five years as CEO of George Gordon Developments Ltd., the economic development entity of the George Gordon First Nation in Saskatchewan, where he is a Member.

“We are delighted to have Glen join our management team. His deep experience in Treaty and Inherent Rights protection and implementation, economic reconciliation in the mining sector, strategic planning, and community engagement and consultation will support our efforts to create opportunities that will enhance the quality of life for our people, now and for generations to come,” said Blueberry River First Nations Chief Judy Desjarlais.

Pratt is passionate about assisting First Nations to achieve economic independence. He served as Chief of George Gordon First Nation for two terms and as a regional 3rd Vice Chief for the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations.

“I am honoured to have this opportunity to work with the leadership of Blueberry River First Nations to advance their vision for self-governance and a vibrant future, rich in opportunities for their Members,” said Pratt.

The primary focus of Blueberry River Resources Ltd. and its subsidiaries is to build and grow business opportunities to support the sustainability and self-sufficiency of the Nation and its Members in the areas of restoration, lands, wildlife, and culture.
