First Nations in B.C. hit by flooding preparing for the next round of bad weather – APTN News

Clean-up efforts are still underway in British Columbia after a massive weather system dumped a month’s worth of rain on some parts of the province in just two days.

Now more storms are on the way and Chewathil First Nation and other communities that were hard hit by the first flooding are busy preparing for what comes next.

The Canadian government has dispatched 500 soldiers to help sandbag.

Naomi Johns House from Chewathil says she’s thankful for the help from the military and her own family.
