Métis Youth British Columbia Launches Eighth Annual Métis Youth Role Model Campaign
Métis Youth British Columbia (MYBC) is proud to announce the 8th Annual Métis Youth Role Model Campaign. The campaign focuses on youth achievements and celebrates Métis Youth role models in our Métis communities. Métis Youth Role Models promote healthy lifestyles, Métis culture and awareness; strengthen Métis identity and are actively involved in their community.
Last year, MYBC recognized the following Métis Youth Role Models: Gabriel Shepherd, Brydee Robinson, Nick Goulet, Scout MacGregor and Cassandra Olson.
In order to be eligible, Métis Youth Role Models must be between the ages of 15 and 30 and live in B.C. The MYBC Committee will evaluate and select five (5) new Métis Youth Role Models from all the eligible submissions received for 2022. The top 5 selected Métis Youth Role Models will receive $300 honoraria and will be showcased on the MNBC website.
If there is a Métis Youth you would like to nominate for the 2022 Métis Youth Role Model Campaign, fill out the form below. Please note, you do not need to be a youth to nominate a Métis Youth Role Model.
Submit your nomination by 4:30 PM PT | 5:30 PM MT by Friday, March 4, 2022. Role models will be announced on March 25, 2022. Email any questions to Brittney Bertrand, Provincial Youth Manager at bbertrand@mnbc.ca.
