MNBC: STEPS Funding Allocation 2021 – 2022
The MNBC Cabinet and government have invested a record amount in our chartered communities, and it is committed to do more via direct funding support. On Monday, August 23rd, Métis Nation British Columbia announced $3,880,000 in new funding for Skills Training, Employment, and Post-Secondary (STEPS). As you may recall, up to $2,000,000 of the funding is to be directed to MNBC Chartered Communities to provide support for STEPS programming. This is part of that commitment to increase capacity in our chartered communities. Each community will receive the recommended allocation amount based on the number of Citizens.
MNBC’s Ministry of Community Services will be in touch with the chartered community presidents over the coming days to provide details on eligible expenditure and reporting requirements.
This could impact your future! For skills training, employment opportunities or post-secondary funding, visit our STEPS microsite.
