May 24, 2023
Coast Salish Territory – The First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) is announcing that Sonia Isaac-Mann will be leaving the FNHA to assume a new role as Chief Executive Officer and President of the Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority (SLFNHA) in Ontario, effective June 26.
Sonia joined the FNHA in 2015 as Executive Director, Community Health and Wellness Services, quickly progressing through a number of progressive developments in becoming Vice President of Community Health and Wellness, Programs and Services in 2018. In this position, Sonia has been a key contributor to opioid, pandemic, and recent budget negotiations to name a few areas.
“While I am sad to leave the FNHA after 8 years, I am excited to begin this new journey to share what I have learned here in BC around transformation and innovation. It has been a pleasure to serve First Nations People in BC and I look forward to continued collaboration in my new role at SLFNHA,” said Sonia Isaac-Mann.
The FNHA is working closely with Sonia to develop a transitional plan that will include potential growth opportunities at the FNHA.
“While I will miss Sonia’s presence and energy at FNHA, I am excited to see a member of our Leadership team take on such an important and prestigious role focused on First Nations Health Care in Canada”, said FNHA Chief Executive Officer Richard Jock. “I look forward to both future partnership opportunities with Sonia in her new role, and to how innovation can be fostered and shared between the two organizations.”
Sonia’s last day of work at the FNHA will be Friday, June 9.
