Current numbers
Last night, we received confirmation of one additional test positive case of COVID-19, bringing our total number of cases to 38. No additional data on clearances was provided at that time. (Yesterday, we reported that 27 cases had been cleared from isolation.)

We haven’t received any updates from FNHA yet today. If something comes in later, we will add it as a comment on the Facebook Live feed.

Again, we really want to acknowledge the sacrifices our members are making to keep themselves and their families safe at this time. Your efforts are making a difference as we work to contain the spread of COVID-19.

We will be taking a break from the Facebook Lives over the weekend, but will share any updates on Facebook and the website if/when they come in. We’ll be back Monday at 6 pm for our next Facebook Live update.

Extension of Office Closure
In light of the recent cluster of positive COVID-19 tests we’ve seen in our workplaces and communities, the Managing Directors have determined that, in the interest of the health and safety of everyone, we will extend the mandatory work-from-home for all non-essential staff for a further two weeks. All offices will continue to be closed to non-essential staff and visitors.

Education, Employment & Training update:

The Education, Employment & Training Department be providing voluntary service at the Littlest Ones School with all protocols in place, the NVSD program at Eslha7an will open next Wednesday with all protocols in place, we will also offer the Carpentry class at the TTC with all protocols in place.

All other programs will run remotely or indirect service with the buildings closed.

Ayas Menmen update:

The Mother Bear daycare will reopen on Monday Sept. 14. as essential services. We have received approval and clearance from Licensing and will maintain COVID protocols and guidelines.

The Youth Centre will provide some partial programming and outdoors keeping with the COVID protocols and guidelines.

All others services will be provided remotely, with staff working from home and our offices closed to non essential staff and visitors.

Public Health Measures
It is apparent that the measures we are all taking have been working as intended to stop the spread of COVID-19 in our communities.

Let’s keep up the great work by continuing to:
• Keep your bubble small
• Maintain 2m/6ft distance between you and anyone outside your bubble
• Wear a mask anywhere that social distancing may be a challenge
• Wash your hands frequently
• Don’t touch your face

Reminder re: Isolation Supports through Member Services
Though 27 of our confirmed cases have now been cleared by public health, there are still others who must continue to self-isolate.

If you are self-isolating due to COVID-19, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Our Members Services team is providing a wide range of assistance to meet the needs of those in isolation.

Call 604-982-7610 during business hours, or 604-505-3776 after hours.
