Thompson Creek Metals Company Inc. 2014 corporate responsibility report
This 2014 corporate responsibility report for Thompson Creek Metals Company Inc. (“Thompson Creek”) reflects our commitment to high standards of corporate responsibility and to reporting on how well we are doing in implementing those standards. This year’s report builds on the foundation established by last year’s inaugural corporate-wide responsibility report, and measures our 2014 performance against that of the previous year.
The report documents our performance in four major areas: safety, environmental, economic and social. It is intended to provide transparent, accurate information for our shareholders, the investment community, regulators, governments, First Nations and the communities in which we operate. We aim to illustrate the integral relationship between our commitment to responsible mining and our organizational strategy, and to provide comparability for our readers by measuring positive and negative trends in performance on a year-to-year basis.
Guidance for this report is taken from the Toward Sustainable Mining program established by the Mining Association of Canada, as well as the UN Global Compact (the world’s largest corporate citizenship initiative) and the Global Reporting Initiative, the world’s most widely used sustainability reporting framework. Feedback on this report, as well as ideas for future editions,is welcome and can be submitted to csr-feedback@tcrk.com.
