Description

The Role of the Compliance Team is to act as the Owner’s advisor, helping the Owner to define the scope of the project. The Project Team includes representatives of the Owner as well as various consultants providing other advisory services. The Compliance Team is expected to work with the Project Team to provide compliance requirements for Project delivery.

EKH Oncology and Renal Expansion project located at East Kootenay Regional Hospital (EKH) in Cranbrook, BC, will include a new building expansion to house the Adult Outpatient Medical Oncology Treatment Services and Renal Departments at EKH. The project includes the construction of a two-story building expansion with basement, to be located adjacent to the ICU and with an approximate total building gross area of 2158.1 m2. The first story of the expansion will allow for the co-location of all Renal modalities currently located in the EKH Community Dialysis Clinic (CDU) and EK Kidney Care Clinic (KCC) to ensure efficient provision of patient-centered care. The second story will provide spaces that support an increase in Oncology service capacity. The scope includes the relocation of existing equipment, and the procurement and installation of new equipment and digital health devices. Vacated spaces will be returned to the site for use by other programs through other capital investment projects. Furthermore, the scope includes a new patient parking area in front of the expansion, and minor parking upgrades to mitigate the increased demand in parking from the expansion.
