Job Description:

-Establish work schedules

-Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys

-Supervise and check assembly of trays

-Must have knowledge of the establishment’s culinary genres

-Prepare food order summaries

-Prepare and submit reports

-Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage

-Ensure food service and quality control

-Estimate and order ingredients and supplies

-Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food

-Ability to supervise up to 2 people

-Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures

-Address customer’s complaints or concerns

-Assist staff with administrative or technical problems

-Have a complete understanding of menu items and explain them to guests as needed

-May assist in prepare food neatly, according to formula

-Perform light paperwork duties as assigned by management

-Understand and adhere to all quality standards, formulas and procedures as outlined in the Subway® Operations Manual

-Complete University of Subway® courses as directed

Requirements:

– Education: Completion of high school is required.

– Experience: At least 2 years of experience in food preparation or service is required. If the candidate does not have 2 years of experience, a post-secondary certificate in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or a related discipline is required.

-Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Standing for extended periods, Physically demanding, Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure

-Personal suitability: Flexibility, Team player, Effective interpersonal skills, Excellent oral communication, Client focus

-Ability to supervise: 1-2 people

-Language: English is required.

Salary: $16.50 hourly, 40 – 44 Hours per week

Benefits: Uniforms provided at no cost, transportation costs covered if workers need to relocate, 2

free 6” sandwiches per full shift are provided. 20 % discount on products when no working.

Important Information: This position requires flexibility in schedule. Workers will work 6 – 10 hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM with 2 days off on a rotational basis. Overtime and work on weekends may be required.
