Job Description
0898481 B.C. LTD. DBA Heritage Market is currently looking for one Retail Store Supervisor to join immediately.

Job Duties

• Supervise and execute the operations of our retail store engaged in retail of merchandise including but not limited to grocery, tobacco, liquor, pizza, snacks, lottery and other general store items

Co-ordinate with sales staff, merchants, delivery workers, and vendors

• Responsibly prepare, tally, and make bank deposits, maintain financial records

Perform opening or closing of store to ensure the store is ready and safe for business

Assign sales workers to duties

• Prepare inventory orders by determining the stocks of produce and merchandise
• Authorize return of merchandise
• Monitor and count merchandise

Resolve customer complaints and supply shortages

• Maintain specified inventory and order merchandise on a regular basis

Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and other matters

• Prepare work schedules, Open and/or close the store by performing duties such as placing and removing signage, opening and closing tills, unlocking and securing the store
• Maintain the cleanliness of the store by ensuring that maintenance duties are completed
• Operates cash register and processes cash, debit card and credit card sale transactions
• May be asked to perform duties as workers supervised by management

Employment Requirement

• Completion of secondary school is required
• 2-3 years of experience in retail or related sector, it does not have to supervisory. Any supervisory experience will be an asset
• Excellent communication skills in English are required
• Well organized with attention to details
• Able to interact with customers in a friendly and cheerful manner
• Lift 50 lbs. boxes periodically throughout the day
