The Canadian Coast Guard officially accepts delivery of new offshore oceanographic science vessel

Media are invited to Seaspan’s Vancouver Shipyards. The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Industry, on behalf of David J. McGuinty, Minister of National Defence will celebrate the acceptance of the Canadian Coast Guard Ship (CCGS) Naalak Nappaaluk.
When: November 13, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. PST
Where: Seaspan’s Vancouver Shipyards, 2 Pemberton Avenue North Vancouver, British Columbia
What: Federal and local representatives will participate to officially accept the CCGS Naalak Nappaaluk, the Canadian Coast Guard’s new offshore oceanographic Science Vessel. Minister Joly, as well as Member of Parliament for North Vancouver—Capilano Jonathan Wilkinson will offer remarks. A media availability and photo opportunity will follow remarks.

Media are to arrive at 9:15 a.m. PST and will be escorted to the ceremony location. The ceremony and reception will take place outdoors at Vancouver Shipyards. Closed toe shoes are mandatory.
