by ahnationtalk on September 14, 2020159 Views

As the Coastal GasLink project continues to evolve and shift toward a focus on mainline pipeline construction, some changes were made that will enable a more efficient and effective allocation of resources to meet our commitments to our customers, investors, Indigenous partners, and local communities. Here are the highlights:

  • Pacific Atlantic Pipeline Construction (PAPC) has agreed to assume construction responsibility for Section 5 to in addition to their current scope which includes pipeline construction for Sections 6 and 7.
  • This shift will allow Macro Spiecapag Joint Venture (MSJV) to focus on Section 8 activities which is the most challenging of our eight sections given its mountainous terrain and steep slopes.
  • We have communicated this development to our First Nations partners and local government officials.
  • All of our existing agreements with First Nations and the community remain in place.
  • We also communicated that Tracy Robinson has assumed leadership of Coastal GasLink in addition to her executive leadership role within TC Energy.

To support the ongoing efforts of the Coastal GasLink team, and in addition to her current accountabilities as EVP and President, Canadian Natural Gas Pipelines, Tracy Robinson will lead as President of Coastal GasLink. In this role, she assumes overall accountability for all aspects of the project including project execution, stakeholder relations and commercial management.

Learn more about Tracy and hear from her at the 2020 B.C. Natural Resources Forum in Prince George.
